Pr.7 working as part of a team and using motivational language. The boys and girls are enjoying their work with the coach from Albion Rovers.
The school is delighted to announce that for the second year running our team of gymnasts who attended the North Lanarkshire Gymnastic Championship at Airdrie Academy were a winning bunch. Everyone was absolutely tremendous and were a real credit to the school. Great team work was on display that lead to first and second placings with outstanding individual performances that lead to individual medals. Quite an accomplishment! Great work St.Augustine’s Gymnastic Team, the whole school is so proud of you.
Our fantastic Pr.7 pupils hosted a Burns Supper on Wednesday. They gave a very informative presentation about the life of Rabbie Burns, sang, recited poetry and performed some drama. Then it was off to serve their invited guests with a plate of haggis, neeps and tatties made by our wonderful catering staff. Many thanks to Mrs.McKeown and the catering team. It was an excellent afternoon with our Pr.7 pupils really shining. They were a real credit to Mrs.Drummond and Mrs.Fraser. Great work boys and girls.
Congratulations to our Pr. 7 pupils who are involved in paired reading with our Pr.2 pupils. It is proving to be a highlight of the week for both sets of pupils. Below is a slideshow of our pupils busy at work. Our Pr.6 pupils are also showing their credentials as resinsible citizens as they are involved in paired reading with Pr. 1 pupils every Tuesday afternoon. Great work boys and girls. You are a credit to the school.
Our Pr.7 pupils were involved in anti-bullying workshop on Tuesday. They then presented a play to the whole school in the afternoon with a powerful message about bullying behaviour and it’s impact on victims. Their play also featured scenes that included the impact of cyber-bullying. You really couldn’t hear a pin drop in the hall as this powerful message was so perfectly shared. A short question and answer session at the end really illustrated how well the children had inderstood the great work of Pr.7. Excellent work boys and girls. You were a real credit to the school.
Check out our picture gallery of the Pr.6 and 7. Great fun had by all!!
