Lest old acquaintance be forgot, the children of Room 10 created their own posters and booklets to celebrate the birth of Robert Burns.

Yesterday Primaries 1, 2 and 3 had a great time at their Christmas party and had a very special visitor.

Rooms 10 and 11 today visited Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum to study Life and Death in Ancient Egypt. They reenacted millennia old rituals; handled 3,500 year old artifacts; and came face to face with a genuine Egyptian mummy.

As an extra homework activity, Room 10 have been recycling their garbage into works of art such as robots, castles, fairy dwellings, radios, Christmas trees, volcanoes, wrestling rings and reindeer.

Mr Quinn helping the pupils of Room 10 put the finishing touches to their reindeer rock, ready for sale at Saturday’s Christmas Fair.

Mr O’Dowd and Mr Quinn were delighted by the ingenuity and creativity the pupils of Room 10 displayed devising and designed their own board games.

Room 10 have been using the  pointillism technique to create impressionistic  paintings of Tutankhamun, ancient Egypt’s most famous pharaoh.

Thank you to family and friends who attended our infant Halloween parade today to be entertained with Halloween songs.

We hope you enjoyed seeing all the children in their fancy dress and were entertained by all the songs and actions.  Well done boys and girls you were superstars.
