Please note our infant gate will be open in the morning and at the end of the day for children of keyworkers to enter and exit the school.
Pupils will be dismissed via their normal door at the end of the day and will leave the yard via the infant gate for collection. Please do not drop pupils at the front door unless after 9am
Good Morning Everyone,
Firstly thank you to everyone for their patience whilst you tried to access online learning this morning. Unfortunately many of you experienced problems due to the volume of traffic on both Glow and Teams resulting in many being unable to view or access instructions and learning provided by Class Teachers. Please know this is outwith our control and behind the scenes much is being done to try and resolve this.
Having offered support to parents this morning I have re-attached a Guide to help you access Glow and Teams if this is the first time you are doing so. I have also attached a document outlining how to do pdf-Accessing-Glow-on-A-Gaming-Console-SSTthe same via a game console.
At this time of year we would normally be preparing to present to you at our Christmas show, however like many things we are doing just now we have to look to do things slightly differently.
Room 8 Primary 6/7 had great fun preparing a little song for you to get you into the Christmas spirit. We learned some Makaton in order to send you this message.
Our newly elected House Captains hosted their first Virtual Assembly yesterday where they shared lots of important information and news with the whole school at the same time. Due to current restrictions we had to be more creative in how we shared all the good things that are happening in our school.
Its safe to say we have complete natural presenters who have a future life on tv! Well done boys and girls you were fantastic!

Huge thanks to our PTA for organising and preparing a lovely video montage for our Primary 7 pupils. We are sure you will agree they have turned out to be superb young people who have shown outstanding resilience over the last few months. We couldn’t be any more proud.
We are sorry the end of their school year didn’t go as planned but know they will go on and continue to be amazing . Good luck P7 we will miss you!
Due to the Coronavirus crisis the department responsible for preparing Young Scot Cards for P7 pupils were unable to process applications as they normally would. The normal timescales and processes were completely disrupted as you might imagine.
The last communication received has indicated they aim to have cards produced for pupils returning to school in August, and the likely scenario will be that they will arrange for cards to be sent to high schools prior to the start of the new term. This is a change to normal systems where we would issue these to pupils in June.
In the meantime P7 pupils may like to familiarise themselves with excellent resources at www.young.scot including local pages at https://young.scot/north-lanarkshire. Young people aged 12+ can sign up for young scot membership and access additional opportunities, rewards and discounts on the web page. Social media pages also contain lots of great information about events, opportunities and youth issues, so please follow @NLCYouthwork and encourage pupils to do the same.
We will update you further should anything change before August.
