Primary 5,6,7 had a visit this morning from BT as part of their science week. To start the session they were told about the importance of science in the development of telecommunications. The children learned about three important innovations that have developed modern communications – Telegraph, Telephone and Radio.
The children were split into three groups
- Network model – complete with faults that the children had to identify to fix.

Looking at equipment that a telephone engineer would wear and use.

Visiting the van – finding out how the van is kitted out and all the equipment that it contains.
