- Mrs. Linfoot has successfully completed First Aid training and will share responsibilities as ‘First Aider’ with Mrs. Scott and Mrs. Kean.

Inset Day – Wed. 10th February 2016
- As part of the North Lanarkshire CANcan (Challenge Attainment in NorthLan) nurture development, all staff will be trained in the Solihull Approach. The February inset day will be devoted to this. Staff from Allanton PS and Alexander Peden PS will join us for this.
Jidel Judo
- Local sports group, Jidel Judo will be in school on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings to offer training sessions to P1-7. PE Kit is required for this. (See below)
February Long Weekend
- School and nursery are closed Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th Feb 2016. Have a lovely holiday everyone!

Monday 1st February 2016
- 10.00am: Dental Nurses will be in school for P1 and P7 Dental Check-up.
- 3.00pm-4.15pm: P2-4 Rugby After School Club led by Active School Coach. Outdoor kit required.
- 3.00pm-4.15pm: P4-6 Fun Fitness After School Club led by S6 Pupils. PE Kit required.
- 3.00pm-4.15pm: P4-7 Arts and Craft After School Club led by Mrs. McGurk.
Tuesday 2nd February 2016
- 9.00am-12pm: Jidel Judo taster session for P3, P4/5 and P5/6
- 11.15am-12.15pm: Library Bus for P4-7 pupils who wish to visit.
- 3.00pm-4.15pm: P4-7 Cross Country After School Club led by Mr. Clark. Outdoor kit required.
- 3.00pm-4.15pm: P4-7 Dance After School Club led by S6 Pupils. PE Kit required.
- 3.00pm-4.15pm: P4-7 Science After School Club led by Mrs Robert. This week the Science club will visit Dykehead PS to share their Biodiversity work.
Wednesday 3rd February 2016
- 9.00am-12pm: Jidel Judo taster session for P1/2, P2 and P6/7
- 1.30pm-3.00pm: Miss Law in P2 for Roots of Empathy Programme.
- 1.30pm: HT and 2 PTs from Kirk o’Shotts/Calderbank PS to visit Mr. Clark re Forward Planning.
- 2.00pm-6.00pm: P4/5 Parent/Teacher Consultations with Miss Tiffney. 6.00pm-8.00pm: Parent Council Meeting – All parents invited to attend.
Thursday 4th February 2016
- 9.15am-11.15am: Primary 5 Swimming Block Week 8. PE and Swimming kit required.
- 3.00pm-4.15pm: P4-7 Football After School club led Active Schools Coach. PE Kit required.
Friday 5th February 2016
- 10.00am-12pm: P2 attending Hub Club event at Wishaw Sports Centre. Children should wear sports clothes for this event.
- 10.45am: Mr. Clark visiting P5/6 (HT Learning Visit)
- 1.30pm-2.15pm: Assembly
- 2.15pm-2.45pm: Golden Time.
