Our S3 History classes are currently taking part in North Lanarkshire’s Shellshock project to help commemorate World War 1.

The pupils were visited this week by Dave, Gillian and Emma from Summerlee who introduced them to World War One and the idea of Shellshock.

The pupils got the chance to handle artefacts from World War One and learn about the conditions in the Trenches and the effects this had on the mental health of Soldiers during the war.

The pupils are looking forward to working with Cultural NLC over the coming weeks to create artwork commemorating the war.

The Debate Club is back up and running with our new members quickly getting into the swing of things.

This was our most recent debate on the use of animals to test both beauty products and medicines.
