P1-2 Home Learning- Last full week

Hello everyone,

It’s hard to believe that this would have been our last full week of learning in school. At this point we would have been winding down and completing lots of fun activities so that’s what I’ve tried to do with our Home Learning this week.

I have uploaded an End of Term Activity Booklet. From here you can choose a virtual day trip, numeracy, craft activities etc. If you click on the Go link it will take you interactively to a new site.  I particularly love the idea of creating a Lockdown Time Capsule and information and resources on how to do this are included.

I have also included a Talk for Writing called Brian Bear’s Picnic. I would love us to have a virtual picnic and will schedule a day in the final week for us to have a Teddy Bear’s Picnic and we can hopefully share our pictures with each other. (Day to be confirmed)

Finally for those that have been completing a wellbeing journal there are 2 pages left. We will also keep up to date with the Caterpillars’ Journey so keep an eye on our class story.

All that is left to say is, have the best week and keep learning.  I can’t quite believe the challenges that this term has brought to all our doors but here we all are, still surviving and even better than that we are doing these things in style; learning, caring and looking out for each other and hopefully still squeezing in a whole lot of fun.

I miss every one of you x

Take Care

Mrs Craig

Final Full Week of P7!

Hello Everyone,
I can’t believe we have reached your final full week of Primary 7! Emotions will be running high this week for you all (hence why one of my tasks is completing an Emotional Rollercoaster) , but I can assure you I have lots of nice things planned 🙂
Firstly, I hope you are all safe and well and looking forward to a great summer before your exciting new venture begins. ❤️🌈
I have attached a suggested timetable of activities. All other work for this week has been uploaded to the Files section of Teams, you will notice that lots of my activities are linked to the End of Term Activity Book (I have only suggested a few but feel free to do as many as you like, you just click the “GO” link which takes you directly to the websites).
Also there is no spelling tasks this week, I thought that would be too harsh 😉 All Literacy tasks are linked to Leavers activities or getting ready for high school, I’ve kept them fun and simple!
Please all get involved in our last P7 Sumdog challenge – same time as usual (Thursday @ 10am), you won’t want to miss it!
As you know I’m in this school this week so may take longer than normal to reply, but sending my love and lots of hugs – I really can’t believe I have to let my wonderful class flee their primary nest… I will miss you all very much 😢
Have an absolutely fantastic final full week 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Take care,
Miss Coyle.

P3 Term 4 Week 9 Home Learning

Dear Parents,

Wow, it’s hard to believe that we are now in the final full week of the school year! It has been an interesting term, to say the least! Thank you to EVERYONE for your positivity, hard work and perseverance during this incredibly challenging time in all of our lives.

Last week Mrs. Schammas and I were in school preparing the classrooms for the return of everyone in August. We will continue to be in school this week as well as working in the hub school so apologies if we take longer to reply to messages.

This week your child has been assigned lots of fun end of term activities. There is no home learning schedule this week. Instead, you should access the ‘P3 End of Term Fun’ folder and work through the set activities according to your own schedule. Once these activities have been completed, please take the rest of the week to complete any outstanding tasks or activities that have been assigned throughout this term. Don’t forget to also make use of Sumdog, IDL and Epic!

In addition, the school is making a collection of home learning photos. Please can you email (to Mrs. Mori) any home learning photos that you would like to share by the end of the week. Many thanks!

Finally, please Save The Date for our Primary 3 End of Year Class Party on Tuesday 23rd June at 2:00pm. This will be conducted virtually on Microsoft Teams, more exciting details to follow.

Have a wonderful week!

Mrs. Mori and Mrs. Schammas xx

P7 Health Week – Term 4, Week 8

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and managed to switch off. I have attached a suggested timetable of home learning activities and group spelling words, all other work has been uploaded to the “Files” section of Teams. This week’s focus is HEALTH WEEK and you will notice that afternoon activities are only focusing on health and wellbeing. You will also notice that I have encouraged you all to be using Sumdog daily as part of the NLC Primary Contest (details were emailed to you on Glow last week). Can I ask that you also pay attention to Mon and Tues Literacy YearBook tasks and email me your answers as soon as completed.

On a further note given the recent events in America, in school we would normally be praying for equality, challenging racism in all forms, highlighting inequality and discussing the impact it has. I have therefore set some tasks for my wonderful class this week linked to the BLM campaign, as I know many of them feel strongly about this and would be eager to ask questions and find out more. Education plays such an important role in them understanding main news events around the world.

As you are probably already aware, staff will be back in the school building this week getting classrooms prepared for August. Therefore, I may not be able to reply to messages as quickly as usual but will get back to you as soon as possible.

Sending lots of good vibes and positivity.

Stay safe and take care,

Miss Coyle.

Hello everyone 🙂

This week is our Health Week and there are lots of fun activities and challenges for you to take part in.

I will upload daily activities into Dojo but have included your weekly overview and links to resources here. Our Active School coordinators have been very busy organising challenges for you to do throughout the week, some are definitely more challenging than others but you should give them all a try. It will be a lot of fun!

As usual it would be great if you could take lots of pictures of your work and you completing tasks so that we can share them with your friends and our school community.

Take Care and have a great week.

Hi everyone!

It’s Health Week and there are lots of fun, active and healthy activities planned for you to take part in. As always, please start by downloading the weekly home schedule (Week 8) which will direct you to all the resources you will need. There is a special Health Week folder in our P3 Team. I have also emailed all of the resources to your child’s GLOW Mail account in case anyone is still having issues with Teams.

Staff will be back in the school building this week getting the school and classrooms ready for your return in August. Therefore, we may not be able to reply to messages as quickly as usual but we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Have a great week and please remember to send through all of your fabulous photos!

P7 Outdoor Learning Week – Term 4, Week 7

Hi Everyone 🌞
I hope everyone had a glorious weekend in the sunshine and is feeling good 🙂! I’m feeling very upbeat and positive – today is the 1st of June which marks a new month, a new start for us all.
I have attached a suggested timetable of home learning activities and group spelling words, all other work has been uploaded to the “Files” section of Teams. This week’s focus is OUTDOOR LEARNING and you will notice that afternoon activities are only for the outdoors – try and do at least some if not all of them, and remember to send pictures! Being outside means getting lots of fresh air and Vitamin D from the sun which is so important for mental wellbeing.
This Friday 5th June is also the Virtual Relay Challenge which I’d like us all to get involved in – I’m taking part 🏃‍♀️
I am also still waiting on lots of Leavers Hoodie pictures so can I please, please, please ask that you send them as soon as possible.
Have a great week everyone – stay safe 💙
Miss Coyle.

Primary 3 Home Learning – Term 4, Week 7

Hello everyone,

Wow! What incredible weather we had at the weekend, hopefully you were able to enjoy it and also see some of your family and friends. The beautiful weather is set to continue on Monday, and just as well because it is Outdoor Learning Week!  There are lots of fun and interesting tasks for you to complete this week and all of them are based outdoors. Please look at the Week 7 Home Learning Schedule in the usual Microsoft Teams folder for details. Even if the weather does take a turn (and it is due to rain lightly on Tuesday), you can still wrap up and get outside to complete your activities. You will notice that there is NO TECH involved in any of the lessons this week, with the exception of accessing the initial planning and using a camera to take videos and photos of your learning. As you have been spending so much time using your devices over the past couple of months, we have decided to keep the tech to a minimum this week.

We will be making phone calls home this week on Wednesday, Thursday and/or Friday to speak with your children. We can’t wait to speak to them and see how they are getting on.

As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in contact.

Have a fabulous and fun week outdoors!

Mrs. Mori and Mrs. Schammas
