We are excited that we will be sharing this very special year with you…your last in St Mary’s and we’re looking forward to all the new learning and memories we will create. You have all returned ready for this year ahead and have impressed us with your hard work and positive attitude. Keep it up!
You should have already seen some activities for home on this site (August Homework Grid) and we would encourage your children to try some each night. We really appreciate the support you have given at home. If you have any questions regarding home learning task, please let us know!

Hello everyone,
A mixed emotions message today. Excited that you will soon be on your Summer Holidays but incredibly sad that I haven’t seen you for over 3 months. I hope everyone is well and looking forward to some down time.
Our last 3 days look like this.
Monday- Sports Day (details and updates are on the school Facebook and Twitter pages)
Tuesday – Virtual class Teddy Bear’s Picnic (time to be confirmed)
Wednesday – School Farewell Tea live from St. Mary’s via Teams @11am
We have come so far since the start of the year, we have developed a whole new range of vocabulary and technology skills. Who knew in August that by June we would all know about the R-number, social distancing, social isolation, shielding and the 2 metre rule to name but a few. They certainly didn’t form part of my teaching plan that’s for sure. However, he we are, connected virtually. I hope you get a chance to join me on Teams on Tuesday for a class celebration.
Thank you so much for all the adaptations you have made and for all you have done for your children this year, before and after Lockdown. Your support has meant a lot. Hopefully the sun shines for us over the summer.

Hi everyone!
We hope you are well and are looking forward to a wonderful summer holiday starting on Wednesday afternoon. Can you believe the children were last at St. Mary’s THIRTEEN weeks ago now? And look at how much they have all achieved within that time. From becoming technology whizzes and tackling new online platforms like GLOW, Teams and Epic, to enhancing their learning and knowledge of the great outdoors, to becoming super duper helpers at home. None of this could have been achieved without the incredible support and help from everyone at home. So a huge, heartfelt THANK YOU from us to you.
We have a brilliant week ahead which starts with our NLC Monday Sports Day, followed by our P3 virtual class party on Tuesday afternoon and finishing up with the whole school virtual tea party on Wednesday. All of the details for these can be found in the ‘THE LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!’ folder on teams. I have also attached the information below for your convenience.
Have a fantastic week and we hope to speak to as many pupils as possible at our party on Tuesday.
