Reading Buddies

On Friday 17th November, Mrs. Hawthorn was joined by many P5-P7 pupils at the Reading Buddy Workshop. She was delighted to welcome all of the enthusiastic volunteers who were keen to learn more about how they can help other children in our school to develop their Literacy skills. Reading buddies is a fantastic opportunity for everyone involved and has been successful in Ravenswood Primary for a number of years.

Keep an eye on Twitter (@RavenswoodPS) to see how our children help each other to become Successful Learners, Confident Individuals, Effective Contributors and Responsible Citizens.

Team work really does make the dream work!

Dream Playground

Our Pupil Council are working hard to assist the development of our playground. We have many great play spaces and equipment but know we can improve this further. We are arranging a meeting with HAGS, a development team who design dream playgrounds all day, every day! We will keep you posted, fingers crossed for a successful meeting!

For now you can look at the company website if you would like.

Transport Consultation

The consultation to change school transport arrangements in North Lanarkshire is now open and will run until Tuesday 9 January 2018.

You can take part in the consultation by:

School Transport Consultation

Previously in the Winter months, we have had to close the school for a day or two because the snow has impacted so heavily on safety. It does not happen often but as always we like to be prepared.
