On Wednesday, we held our final session of cooking club. After some input on shopping and eating within a budget and the history of the hamburger, we went to the Home Economics Department to prepare and cook our final dish. We made delicious American burgers! We can’t believe how easy and tasty they were, so much so that some of us were even heading to the shops on the way home to buy more ingredients to make burgers again at home! We all received a certificate for participating and a booklet including all the recipes we have worked on.
We have all loved taking part in the cooking club and learning how to make some tasty meals. We have created some good links and relationships with Clyde Valkey High School and our parents and careers. This has also given us a taster of what we can expect at secondary.
We hope this club will run again!
