Our Pupil Voice Groups will meet on Fridays in blocks of five weeks, from 9.15-10.15am. All members of the mainstream staff will be involved in taking a group. The meetings should initially be Teacher / Staff led and then as the committees become more established senior pupils should begin chairing their meetings. Staff will ensure there is a clear learning focus on one of the three responsibility for all areas, literacy, numeracy, health and wellbeing.
There will be 6 different pupil groups. Children from P2-7 will be split across the groups and P1s will have a focus on play. The groups will remain the same for the year, to allow for development of events and projects. Mrs Woodward and Mrs Mackenzie will identify children from LCSC who can be included in these groups.
These groups are ECO, JRSO, Health, Rights Respecting, Global Citizenship/Fairtrade, Outdoor Learning and Groups Through Play.
Mrs Woodward will also have an additional group that will meet monthly. This group will have a representative from each class, with a chosen P6 & 7 partnering a P1 & P2. The group will be Learner Improvement Group and will develop work on school policies and learning with Mrs Woodward. Each class rep will feedback to their class monthly.
