P6: Fish Release Day

On Monday we released our fish into the River Clyde. When the Scientist (Willie) came in he took the fish out the hatchery and gave them to us in a tub. When we got to Motherwell we let the fish go out into the River Clyde and we saw them go out into the river. We also created a new River Clyde/Clyde in the Classroom display to remind us of our fishes always! Have a look at our photos and videos below.

Here are our thoughts:

It was sad to lose the fish but is good they are free, they are where they belong. It was fantastic having them! – Angel

It was really horrible to see them go, but it was also nice to set them free –  Jennifer

It was a good trip, but it was also sad to lose them, we will miss them in class – Jake

It was magnificent to see them swim away, but also dreadful to loose them. I learned about them from a  great teacher – Julia

It was very fun getting to go out of class and letthr fish go, as we got to look at Starthclyde Park and the river – Niamh

It feel strange not having them in class, and strange releasing them! – Alex

It was sad to see our fish go – Isla

Caring for our fish was a WONDERFUL experience – Lauren

It was really sad to see the fish go, we saw some ducks and we worried they would eat the fish! We also found some wild garlic – Jodi & Emma

It was sad to let them go, but nice to see them swim away! – Kaden
