This afternoon Primary 3 learned about some old and new UK traditions of Pancake Day. The boys and girls liked the traditional idea of having pancake races and were very interested to hear all about why pancakes were made the day before Lent begins. We watched a video of someone making Scotch pancakes and then wrote our own instructions for this. Afterwards, as a wee treat, Mrs Johnstone let us all have a pancake – yum! 🙂 We were far too busy eating to take lots of photos but here are a few photos of a couple of us enjoying our pancake this afternoon!
