This week Garrion People’s Housing celebrated their 25th anniversary and invited Primary 7 and Primary 5/6/7LCSC to take part in a bake off competition as part of their celebrations. Both classes got together and split into smaller groups to decide what they would bake for the competition, list the ingredients required and write a recipe for their bake. On Tuesday afternoon we all went up to the Home Economics Department in Clyde Valley to bake our creations. It was tricky trying to get all the groups bakes done in one afternoon but we managed.
On Wednesday we went to Centre Point for the judging. Mary Berry,Paul Hollywood and Mel Giedroyc were all set for tasting. They had a tricky job in choosing a pupil winning group and an adult winner. The Mars Bar cake won the pupil competition, with the chocolate cake in second and the M&M cake in third place. We also got to taste the cakes and enjoy our juice, while the cakes were being judged.
Well done to all the winners and to everyone who took part and a big thank you to GPH for including us in this event, we really enjoyed taking part.
