This afternoon we split into two groups for different technology tasks before swapping over.
One group worked with Mr Tollan to learn about computer programming. Mr Tollan modelled how to use the gaming programme Kodu then we were given the opportunity to explore it ourselves. Next, we were asked to think about how we could design a game which we will use to teach other children about their rights. We really enjoyed using Kodu and are already looking forward to continuing our game design next week!
The second group learned about how pop up books ‘work’! We explored a few pop up books and had a look at the various folds that were involved. Today,we focused on mastering ‘the box fold’. We all made a successful box fold and then thought creatively about how we could incorporate this fold into a book about children’s rights. Please have a look at our photos to see what we came up with. We worked really well together this afternoon!
