P4/5 having fun with shapes and magnets!

The boys in p4/5 had a busy time taking part in our 3D shape hunt around the school.  We managed to find a variety of objects to represent a cube, cuboid, cone, cylinder and pyramids. We had fun exploring in the gym cupboard!

We printed out the photographs and then sorted them to display in relation to the 3D shape groups.

Today during our science lesson, we looked at magnets and their force. We were able to describe a magnet as something that “sticks things together” but not in the same way as a sticky material like glue.  We sorted a range of objects to decide whether they were magnetic or non-magnetic.
