Read to Succeed is a project run across North Lanarkshire schools  jointly between the School Librarians and the NLC Learning Base.

There is a huge amount of evidence to prove the benefits of reading, but you only get the benefit if you’re reading for your own enjoyment. So Read to Succeed promotes the fun side of reading by providing funding to get an author into every school. In the last couple of years we’ve even been able to provide a book to every learner in S1.

This has all been possible through the Scottish Attainment Challenge funding.
