Live author events
We try to arrange events and visits across the year so you can listen to genuine authors talking about their work and ideas. This is useful for all sorts of subjects, not only English, depending on what the author has written.
Sometimes the authors come to Our Lady’s, often as part of North Lanarkshire School Librarians’ Read to Succeed project, and sometimes we watch as part of an online audience.

You can also watch lots of well known authors through the Authors Live programmes, and many book festivals are also sharing their author events online such as the Edinburgh Book Festival.

Did you know that many authors talk to their readers through their own websites and social media?
The Library catalogue includes links to hundreds of authors’ social media accounts and websites.

If you are contacting someone, make sure that it’s positive please 🙂
Also remember that authors receive a lot of messages, so you might not get a reply right away, or even at all if they’re busy. It doesnt mean they don’t appreciate your kind words.
