During this special week marking Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday, our young learners at Cathedral Primary have been deeply engaged in their topic on climate change. Inspired by his lifelong commitment to protecting our planet, pupils explored the impact of pollution and the devastation it causes to our environment.
Using both Explore and Extend and adult‑initiated learning, our fabulous learners created a powerful and thought‑provoking collage that captured the reality of pollution in our oceans, landscapes, and communities. Their work showed imagination, empathy, and a growing understanding of their responsibility as global citizens.
They presented their finished pieces in the most creative and expressive way, demonstrating confidence, teamwork and pride in their learning. This activity not only strengthened their skills for learning, life and work but also helped them connect classroom learning to real‑world issues.
