2025/26 House Captains elected

Elections for our 2025/26 House Captains took place in the first week of term. The twelve newly-elected captains will be mentored by our current House Captains during the remainder of the year before the ceremonial ‘handing over of the batons’ at the Primary 7 graduation in June. Mentoring will include training in leading ‘Smart School Council’, which gives every learner a voice and is instrumental in bringing about ongoing change and improvement in Cathedral.

As Primary 7 will be away on their transition days at Our Lady’s High School, our House Captains-elect will carry out their first official duty on Wednesday 14th May when they host an advance viewing of our 150th anniversary exhibition for the nearby care home, Deaf Hub and local residents.

Many congratulations to our twelve 2025/26 House Captains! We know you’ll do Cathedral proud!

His Majesty’s Inspectors of Education (HMIe) will carry out an inspection of Cathedral Primary School and Nursery Class during the week commencing Monday 12th May.
