Cathedral begins Lenten journey

Cathedral school community gathered for Mass on Ash Wednesday, 5th March, to mark the beginning of Lent. Pupils and staff received their ashes, a sign of being sorry for the wrong things we do and of our commitment to grow closer to Jesus in the coming weeks.

Lent isn’t just about giving things up but, more importantly, doing something extra to deepen our faith and grow closer to God. To help us on our Lenten journey, Fr Lamb will celebrate Mass in the gym hall at 8.15am every Tuesday and Friday morning, beginning on Friday 7th March.

A warm welcome is extended to all pupils, parents, staff and parishioners.

Please continue to pray for Pope Francis, as he remains in hospital:
