In Mossend, every pupil is welcomed into one of our four houses – a team that becomes an important part of their school life. The houses, named after places in our local area and chosen by pupils themselves, help build a strong sense of belonging and community.
Throughout the year, pupils work together with their housemates to earn points through competitions, good work, and positive contributions to school life. The houses compete in a range of fun and exciting events, encouraging teamwork, friendship, and school spirit.
At the end of each term, the house with the most points enjoys a special treat, celebrating their success together. Our house system is all about supporting one another, showing pride in our school, and striving to make each house the very best it can be!
To help lead and inspire their house, a Vice Captain is appointed from Primary 6 and a Captain from Primary 7. These pupils are responsible for encouraging their teammates, driving their house forward, and setting a great example for others. Elections for these leadership roles have recently taken place, and we are proud to introduce our new House Captains and Vice Captains for session 2025/2026:
