It is recognised that home learning is an important ingredient in the educational experience provided for our pupils. It is widely accepted that continuous learning takes place within and outwith school. Teaching staff wish to work with parents in supporting this learning in home and community and all staff in the school recognise and endorse the value of appropriate and varied home learning activities. At every stage homework should be reinforcement of skills and knowledge previously taught.

Homework provides a way of enabling parents to see the kind of work being tackled during the school day….encouraging a sense of partnership between the school and parents.

It is well recognised fact that children who do homework regularly perform better in school.
