In each class, pupils have worked together to create a Class Charter of their own. Their work shares the values of The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The Class Charters outline the Articles that were important to them and in making their charters, classes also encompass the following rights:
Article 3: The best interests of the child
Article 4: Implementation of the Convention
Article 12: Right to be heard
Article 13: Freedom of expression
Article 14: Freedom of thought , belief and religion
Article 15: Freedom of association
Article 23: Right to live a full and decent life with dignity and, as far as possible, independence and to play an active part in the community
Article 28: Right to education
Article 29: Right to the goals of education
Article 31: Right to play, leisure and culture
Article 41: Right to higher national standards where these exist
