Mrs N’s Notes – 19.1.18

Well, that wasn’t in the plan!  What a week in the life of Kirkshaws!  Snow, ice and difficult journeys to and from school have made it tricky to function normally at times this week, but thank you all for the efforts you made to send your children daily.  Learning continued, despite the adverse weather conditions. It has been a pleasure meeting all our new P.1 parents, and some children too,

We have a busy week ahead enrolling for August.  If you know of any pupils who are intending to start school this year please advise their parents to telephone the school office to make arrangements. Clubs start back this week with a new range of after-hours learning opportunities.  For some clubs we had so many interested participants that the clubs will need to run more than once over the term.

Mrs N’s Notes 15th December

As the song goes…”It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!”  What a fantastic week, building up to our Christmas celebrations.  Christmas Art and Christmas activities are popping up all over the school if you take the time to look around.  Whether it is learning about trees and plants, or ordering coins…Kirkshaws teachers can skilfully turn it into a seasonal lesson across all learning. The Week Ahead ~ 11-15 December

Looking back over the past week, I’m amazed at how we have managed to fit it all in!  We’ve welcomed two new pupils into the Kirkshaws family and it has been so encouraging to see the hand of friendship being offered to both girls by their classmates. Rehearsals in the hall have become more regular, with both the Nursery Nativity and the School Christmas Show looming.  If you are planning
