Learning at Home

Your child works very hard in school all day, however, we know there are times you need to consolidate or extend learning at home.

In June 2022 we asked the Parent Forum for feedback around learning at home.  We were aware you had done a huge amount of digital learning at home since March 2020 and we were eager to know how this was working for you.  As you can see from the feedback below, there was a unanimous call to simplify homework and reintroduce a homework jotter, with most requesting that we move to weekly homework, handed in on a set day, on paper.  As a result, from September 2022 this is exactly what we did.  Homework is handed out in class on a Monday, with the expectation that it is handed in on a Thursday each week.  Homework will be simplified to literacy, numeracy/maths and one wider learning task.
