Mrs N’s Notes, 15.9.23
Week 3 menus ahead:
If you pay for your child’s school meals, please remember to add funds to their card BEFORE they eat. We will never let a child go hungry, but we don’t like to see families running up an unexpected bill.
PANTOMIME
You may have seen a press release earlier this week that explained that RAAC had been found in the Motherwell Concert Hall. As a result, it has closed with immediate effect to investigate this further.
When this came to light, we telephoned the Box Office immediately to find out if this affected our planned Pantomime visit in December. We have been assured that, at this time, they expect to be open again by October. All bookings for the end of the year are not affected.
As a result, we must still pay for our tickets in full this week.
Should anything change, we will notify you of any updates, as we hear.
UNIFORM
I am delighted at the number of pupils who are wearing their Kirkshaws uniform with pride every day.
Please remember there is no need for pupils to change on PE days. They should wear their school polo shirt and sweatshirt on these days, rather than a shirt and tie. On gym days, pupils can come to school wearing navy or black jogging trousers, leggings, shorts, etc.
P.7 FUNDRAISER…NAIL BAR!
Our P.7 class continues to work hard to raise funds to partially subsidise their outdoor learning week in the summer term. Their next venture will be a nail bar, operating next Thursday in school.
Permission slips should have come home already. If your child wishes to take part, they should return their permission slip ALONG WITH THEIR 50p PAYMENT.
Due to allergies, no child will be allowed to have their nails painted unless we have your permission in writing.
