Mrs N’s Notes, 16.12.22

Week 3 lunch menus coming up, but please note there are some changes!

TUESDAY – Instead of lasagne, we will be having chicken tandoori bites.

THURSDAY – No hot meals today, only Pack-a-Snacks.  Of course, pupils can bring their own packed lunch if they prefer.

CHRISTMAS CAROL CONCERTS

We are now sold out for our 3 performances next week.  We look forward to seeing you all on Monday afternoon, as well as Tuesday and Wednesday mornings to share our excitement and celebrate together.

IF YOU HAVE BOUGHT A TICKET THAT YOU CAN NO LONGER USE, PLEASE TELEPHONE THE SCHOOL OFFICE AND LET US KNOW.  WE HAVE A WAITING LIST OF FAMILIES WHO STILL REQUIRE TICKETS.

CHRISTMAS MARKETS

Please remember that our Parent Council Christmas Market will run each day BEFORE each performance.  Come with some spare pennies, if you can, to buy some hand-made crafts and Christmas goodies and take part in some fabulous prize draws!

The Market opens at 1pm on Monday and 9.15am on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Enter the school grounds via the normal front gate and you will be directed around to the side entrance.

Application forms for high school were sent home with all P.7 pupils this week.  These should be completed and returned to school as soon as possible.
FURTHER PROPOSED STRIKE DATES
A letter,  issued by North Lanarkshire Council, was sent home by email today.
Please take time to read the letter as it contains important information for the new term.
If the proposed strike days go ahead, Kirkshaws Primary School and Nursery will NOT open to pupils on 10th and 19th January, as detailed within the letter.
Any changes to this plan will be shared with you as soon as more information is available.
CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS
School closes at 2.30pm on Thursday 22nd December for the Christmas holidays.  Our nursery class finishes at the usual time that day, but if families wish to collect younger siblings early, that can be arranged with staff directly.
We all restart on Monday 9th January 2023.
