North Lanarkshire Choir
North Lanarkshire Schools’ Primary YMI Choir
This choir provides the opportunity for enthusiastic singers in primary schools who aspire to perform at a high level, to meet, rehearse and perform with likeminded pupils from schools throughout the Authority.
Rehearsals will take place weekly from January until March, culminating in a performance in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall as part of the North Lanarkshire Schools’ music groups’ annual showcase concert.
Rehearsals take place:
Wednesday night 7.00 – 8.30pm Coatbridge High School
Thursday night 7.00 – 8.30pm Dalziel High School (Motherwell)
Pupils can opt to attend the centre that best suits them.
In addition to these rehearsals there will also be an introductory evening for all pupils wishing to take part in the choir.
This will take place on the evening of Wednesday 21st November 7.00pm – 8.30pm in Coatbridge High School, with rehearsals then starting on Wednesday and Thursday 9th and 10th January 2019 thereafter.
Applications for the choir are invited from pupils in P5, P6, and P7.
Please note that transport to and from choir rehearsals is not provided by the Authority; however as this is funded through the Youth Music Initiative there is no charge to pupils for participation in the choir.
