Tree of Knowledge – Notes from our discussions
Last night we were delighted to welcome Tony from The Tree of Knowledge to work with school staff and a group of parents. The evening gave parents the opportunity to consider all the ways learning at home is working well, but also to stop and consider the unnecessary pressures we sometimes place on ourselves and our children. Through a series of fun, practical tasks we put ourselves into the position of a learner out with their comfort zone. It was enlightening for us all!
The event ran on a little longer than expected, because the group was eager not to miss an opportunity for us to work in partnership; aiming to find ways to strengthen the links between learning at home and in school.
We hope this is just the first of evenings like this, where your input will be used to drive our improvement planning forward.
