Glasgow Science Centre – Clyde in the Classroom Launch

P5 loved visiting the Science Centre for the Clyde in the Classroom launch day. We arrived nice and early so got to explore the science centre exhibits and test their abilities in a range of skills; picking up useful information along the way.

After that, we went down for our talks from Clyde in the Classroom to help prepare us for looking after 200 new classmates: trout eggs!

We are now buzzing to receive the eggs later this month and will get to start practising looking after the hatchery when it arrives tomorrow. Watch this space for updates.

Merry Christmas from Primary 3/4

Wow what another quick month this has been. We have all been very busy and hope you all enjoyed the Nativity. Primary 3/4 have had so much fun over December, we have been learning all about Advent and getting ready for our Christmas party.

Primary 3/4 and Miss Verrecchia are looking forward to 2020. We would like to wish everyone a very Happy and Holy Christmas and New Year.

Primary 6 have had so much fun in December. We have learned all about the season of Advent and practised for our Christmas party with some traditional Scottish dances.

We have also completed lots of Christmas activities, in the pictures you will see our Christmas tree STEM challenge using cocktail sticks and sweeties. This was so much fun seeing who could build the biggest one that looked the most like a tree.

Primary 6 and Mrs Anderson are looking forward to 2020 and would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year.

WORKING HARD/ADVENT/CHRISTMAS AND HAVING FUN

RERC/LITERACY/NUMERACY/EXPRESSIVE ARTS AND IDL

P1/2 have been working very hard throughout this term and as we approach the end  in this last month of December, the weeks before  these Christmas holidays have just flown past.

After writing their letters to Santa the children worked hard to get all their Christmas Fayre goodies all ready to go on sale. And with all their other Christmas activities and preparations for them. E.g. Their Nativity rehearsals, dance practise and preparation for our Christmas party,  etc. P1/2 have been rushed off their feet!

We have also had a little visitor to the classroom who keeps turning up in unusual places and so the children decided to make there very own to to help with the hall surveillance for Christmasin the hall…

NATIVITY

P1/2 really loved performing in their School Nativity with P2 and P3. and thank you so much to some of the P3’s for standing in at the last minute for our P1 children who were ill.  The children had all been practising and working very hard for weeks and I know you will agree that their performance was wonderful.

However as I mentioned, unfortunately some children were very unwell on the day and could not take part.  To those children, thank you so much, we really appreciate all your hard work too and hope you feel better very soon.

Finally P1/2 would love to wish everyone a very Happy and Holy Christmas and New Year when 2020 arrives.  God Bless x.
