MAKATON
Holy Family Prayer
P1-P7 Class, Makaton representatives, have been learning about signing and how to sign prayers.  The first prayer learned in Makaton, was Our  ‘Holy Family Prayer’.  The children shared  this prayer during assembly to show what they had learned and to enable everyone to have the opportunity to learn too.
Together they have made this short Learning Video, so that they may share what they have learned with everyone.

P3 Outdoor Learning – Art
P6 Take Science Outdoors
P6 took their learning outdoors this week as part of their science topic, exploring wind speed in different areas around the school. Using anemometers, the pupils measured and compared wind speed, discussing how surroundings such as buildings, trees, and open spaces can affect the results.
Through this hands-on investigation, pupils developed key META-skills, including focus, teamwork, and collaboration. Working together to collect data, share ideas, and draw conclusions helped deepen their understanding of science while building essential skills for learning and life.
RSPB Big Schools’ Birdwatch
Primary 1 and Primary 4/5 worked together to become bird watchers in our local environment. One of our P4 boys taught the class about the RSPB charity, and we went out to record the types of birds we could see, We will now interpret our data, and send the results to the RSPB. Some budding ornithologists! Great work!
