Children should revise the past four weeks of their spelling words, they have copies with these home with them today. They should complete four spelling activities, one for each weeks words.

Potters-

Have been doing two digit by two digit multiplication, The group have really struggled to understand this and we are needing a lot of practise. I will put a bit of an explanation for them to follow below and we will continue to work on this in class.

start with the number on the right on the bottom line. Multiply all numbers on this top line with this digit.

write down a zero (wee jimmy)

multiply all numbers on top line with the digit on the left on the bottom line of the sum.

Add the 2 numbers together

Double check your multiplication, make sure it is right and also careful with your carried digit.
