Homework will be given out on Tuesday to be handed in on Friday.
Literacy
Red – Phoneme Family (aw, au, o, a)
- Draw a phoneme chart in your jotter and write as many words containing each phoneme as you can.
- Read the last chapter of your book again at home. If you do not have a book, read a chapter of a book from home or choose one from the class library to read at home.
Blue – Spelling Rule (sh = ci)
music = musician
space = spacious
finance = financial
electric = electrician
magic = magician
- Write 3 sentences containing as many of your words as you can. See if you can find anymore words containing the spelling rule.
- Read chapter 2 and 3 of Kaspar the Prince of Cats aloud with an adult to practise your reading.
Green – Common words (their, last, them, some) and Phoneme Sound (oi).
- Practise writing your common words by writing some fun spelling (rainbow, pyramid, etc).
- Write 3 sentences containing words from your phoneme sound.
- Read a book aloud to an adult at home. You can choose a book from home or from the class library.
Numeracy
Pupils have been given a blank fraction wall home. Could an adult complete this with them to be brought back in.
