Homework week beginning 10th  February 2025

Literacy  

Red group:   Common Words

  • Write a silly  sentence story  containing as many common words as you can.  
  • Choose a book from home or the school library to read aloud with an adult.  

 

Blue group: phoneme family – oo, ue, ew, u-e and u.

  • Separate your phoneme words into their phoneme family heading. Try to think of as many more words for each heading as you can.  
  • Continue to re-read aloud, the next chapter of your reading book with an adult.  

 

Green group:  

Phoneme sound –    (ee,    oo,   ck,   ai.  oy,  oa).  

Common words – here, her, before.  

  • Write 3 sentences with words containing your phoneme sounds.  
  • Practise writing your common words by choosing one style of fun spelling (for example: rainbow writing, pyramid writing, bubble writing, etc).  

 

Numeracy  

 This week well go over  10 and 11 times table and focus on 3 times table.  focusing on Write the 3 x table in your jotter and practise saying them aloud each day.
