I hope you all had a great October break! You can find the homework for this week below. Homework will be collected on Friday.
Red
Phoneme family – ck (k, c, ck, ch)

- Be a text detective using a book from home or the school library. Take a note of as many of your phoneme words you can find. See if you can spot any words containing your phoneme that are not in the list above.
- Read chapter 3 and 4 again, with an older family member. Try to focus on fluency when reading.
Blue
Spelling rule – soft c before e, i, y.

- Practise writing your spelling words by choosing one style of fun spelling (for example: rainbow writing, pyramid writing, bubble writing, etc).
- Read chapter 3 and 4 again, with an older family member. Try to focus on fluency when reading.

Phoneme sound – ‘ch’ (chair, chat, cheese, chase, etc)
Common words – much, of, or
- Write 3 sentences containing one of your phoneme words.
- Practise writing your common words by choosing one style of fun spelling (for example: rainbow writing, pyramid writing, bubble writing, etc).
- For homework we are focusing on reflecting and reading books we may have read previously. Please read the book at home with the support of an older family member.
Numeracy
Each week we will focus on a different times table. This week we will be focusing on the 5 and 11 times tables. Write the tables in your jotter and practise saying them aloud each day.
For the next few weeks we will be focusing on addition. Try some of the active addition games below to practise your addition skills.
