Here is your homework for this week. We will get jotters soon. Please look after your reading books and bring them back every day so we can read them in class. To look after them, it is a good idea to put your book back into your bag as soon as you have read it.

Reading

Each group will get a new book on a Monday and another on a Thursday.

Once you have read your book, try to find these common words in your book. You might find all 5 or you might not find any. Good luck!

Can both groups find more words with their revision phonemes and put them on the worksheet? Can you practice the common words by looking for them in your reading book or any other book you have at home?

Stage 1-the alphabet

Practise the alphabet on the sheet and practise saying what sound each letter makes.

We are going to be working on making a ferry boat to get to Struay so we will start with some floating and sinking. Can you try this at home? Find things from around your house and check which floats and which sinks. Here is a video to help.
