Primary 3 May 2021

Primary 3 has had a busy but exciting time! We have been practising using capital letters, full stops and question marks in our writing. We finished working on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and loved hearing the story being read to us. The teacher has been reminding us of the importance of working at home on our reading and writing to make sure that we are ready for Primary 4! In maths, we have concentrated on working with money and are able to identify the coins and notes used in the United Kingdom. We tried to work out change from £1 but need more practice to get it right all of the time. We also began work on symmetry where we have been drawing one half of a shape to lake the picture the same on both sides, that was fun. Our new topic is The Human Body and we put together a skeleton model to identify the bones in the body. We then made our own moving skeleton and they are hanging up in the classroom. We are going to look at the heart, lungs and brain in the next 2 weeks, very exciting! We have said goodbye to one of our friends in class and had a celebration today. We all made her a special card and wish her good luck in her new school. Next week is Health Week and we have to come to school in our sports clothes as we will have our Sport’s Day too. We have all been given a planter in the yard to plant flowers and vegetables next week too so we will be dressed to get messy 😊
