Primary 7 are a class of drama kings and queens as we work on our acting skills in relation to their class novel Divided City!
P5/6 Broad Bean and Lemon Hummus
We used some of our ingredients harvested from the school garden to make a delicious hummus dish. We grated lemon zest, and squeezed the juice. We used a food processor to create a smoother result. Everyone had a taste!
Voices of Angels! 😊
The P4-7 Choir started rehearsing for the Auchengeich Memorial Service and learned this famous song for the first time. Can you recognise it?
A busy day in Primary 5.
Primary 5 enjoyed reinacting the lifeboat scenes from The Titanic. We used a freeze frame approach to show the improvisation. The class performed really well and had a great time.
In PE we took advantage of the sunshine and continued to develop our skills in possession games.
P5/6 Green-Fingered Gardeners
We had a great time with Paula, our Hidden Gardens expert today; we cleared some of the vegetable beds, tidied the polytunnel and picked some fresh plums from the fruit trees!
P5/6 Titanic Drawings
P5/6 worked hard today to create some eye-catching Titanic Advertisements. We are looking forward to researching all about the ‘Unsinkable Ship.’
Star Writers
I had the very difficult job of choosing this week’s Star Writers! Well done Calum, Lily, Sophie H and Adam.
Mr and Mrs Potato Head
P6/7 have been busy creating potato heads for the Chryston horticultural competition. The pupils came up with lots of great ideas for their potato heads, including a ‘Baked Bob’ sunbathing minion, a VIP (very important potato), Hulk Mash, a regal King Edward and Jersey Royal and a President inspired potato!
P5/6 Mental Maths
We are using different methods to help us improve our mental agility including ipad and smartboard games, as well as board games and timed activities!
Our New P1s
I am delighted with how well the P1 children are settling into their new environment. Here’s a few pictures of your children at work and play. I look forward to a busy and fun filled year!
