Today, we learned about budgets and expenditures. We had a pretend budget of £50.00 and chose items from a catalogue to work out the total, stick to the budget and count out the coins and notes.

Primaries 4 to 7 are taking part in financial education workshops this week. Today, we learned about when money first began to be used and identified the notes, coins and cards we use as tender in this country today. Thanks to Paula and Jamie for coming in to teach us and for giving us a money DVD each to take home!
We have been learning about the history and importance of Remembrance Day. We created personal message poppies to show respect for those who gave their lives in the wars of the past and wrote acrostic poems. We learned about one soldier in particular and his war story.
Today we investigated 3D shapes through active games and tasks. We loved this Smartboard game!
