Our garden club and primary 1a worked together to make some very interesting pictures. We collected natural items from our school gardens including colourful leaves, twigs and fruit . These items were then used to inspire pupils to create their own works of art!

P5 Use Balloons to Paint
Today primary 5 used balloons to paint. We made a drawing of an autum tree silhouette . So we cut the drawing out and stuck them on to a piece of black card. We then we blew up different coloured balloons. We then we dabbed them into yellow, orange and red paint. Once we finished we took the tree we had drawn off the peice of black card and they all looked fantastic.

Time Experts!
Primary 5 have been working very hard during their first week back. They have been learning to convert times between 12 hour time and 24 hour time. We are now experts at reading and writing analogue and digital time! We have also been working in partners assessing each other’s learning. Well done P5 on being successful learners. Keep up the hard work!
Homework Club
IZAK 9
Primary 5 had a fun first day back as they used the school’s new IZAK 9 resource for maths. The class were split into teams and had to solve challenging tasks working as a group. Primary 5 enjoyed the challenge and we can’t wait to use IZAK 9 more in class!

Author Visit to Moodiesburn Library
P4/5, P5 and P6 had great fun this morning on a trip to our local library. We had a special trip to see the author Robert Harris. He read us some of his fantastic books and even got some of us acting out scenes from them.
We were then able to buy one of his books and get it signed by the man himself! Some of us are really looking forward to reading his books and the release of his new book next April!
