P4 had lots of fun this term cooking some healthy Scottish themed recipes in the learning kitchen. We have all tried new foods and are aware of the great health benefits of certain types of foods.

P4 MENTAL MONEY
Primary 4 have been learning how to add money values mentally during maths time. We used a variety of ways to help us improve, including a money game on the Smartboard and a coin puzzle game. We love learning in different ways!
Earth Hour 2017
Last week, Primary 4 were hard at work researching “Earth Hour.” We used ‘i-Movie’ on the i-pads to create our own news reports to raise awareness of climate change.

P4 CHARLES RENNIE MACKINTOSH
We have been learning about the famous Scottish artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh. We used some of his inspirations such as the natural world and geometric shapes to create our own artwork. We used a demonstration video to help us draw the famous “Mackintosh Rose.” Have a look at our fabulous stain glass window designs!
P4 Central Net Skills
We have been working hard on our perseverance skills to aim over the volleyball net to our partner on the other side. Some of us are getting the hang of it!
Fairtrade and Food Leadership Academy
The boys and girls in this leadership group are planning a Fairtrade event for parents, carers and members of the school and extended community to attend and enjoy. Some children created invitations while others baked Fairtrade banana loaves and carrot cakes which will be frozen and stored until the event!
P4 FAMOUS SCOTS HOMEWORK
So far, we have had some fantastic personal choice topics about famous Scots.
From posters to booklets to Powerpoint Presentations. I cannot wait to see some more Primary 4!

P4 Charles Rennie MacKintosh Keynotes
Today, we worked with a partner to start a keynote presentation using the i-pads about the famous Scottish artist and designer, Charles Rennie Mackintosh. We practised how to insert text and images to our presentations and also how to add cool effects! We can’t wait to finish them!
P4 Venn Diagrams
Today in maths, the boys and girls created Venn diagrams using hoola hoops and Pokemon cards. We sorted them into categories such as Fire Pokemon, Pokemon with a tail, or both! We are now confident in how to sort and categorise.
