P2 LEARN ABOUT TENS AND UNITS
During maths time, some of the children worked in their group to solve maths counting problems using a fun game on the SmartBoard. They learned to count the tens and add the units.

P2 INVESTIGATE OLD AND NEW TECHNOLOGY
As part of their Decades topic, the boys and girls had a discussion about the technology we use and looked at some photographs of older technology from the year 2000 onwards. They were able to compare the similarities and differences of these devices and sorted them into old and new.
The children thought it was funny when they found out that when rewinding a video tape, people had to wait a while for it to get back to the beginning!
P2 Active Spelling Fun!
P2 have been learning their new spelling words this week through active learning. These spelling activities could be used to practise words at home too!
P2’s Millennium Bugs
P2 and The Millennium Bug
Primary 2 have began their topic of learning about the years 2000-2015.
Today in class, they discovered about The Millennium Bug!
This was when people thought that all the computers in the world would stop working or CRASH when the year changed to 2000 and they nicknamed it, “The Millennium Bug.”
We in Primary 2 know that it wasn’t a real bug like a spider or a beetle, but we imagined what we thought a Millennium Bug would look like and planned a drawing of it on our whiteboards!
Some of our creations had lots of arms to crash all the computers in the year 2000!
