Numbers count with Izak9

Isn't success wonderful. We did it!!
Isn’t success wonderful. We did it!!

We had to use our nine green cubes to show the stations of the 3x tables. We had to start with the smallest station in the top left corner and the largest one in the bottom right corner.

We put our success down to listening carefully to instructions and working as a team.

Later on we had to make a magic square with the total of 15 in each row, column and diagonal.

Primary 4 are looking forward to their next challenge with Izak9.

BEAR Scotland Gritter Winner

image

Well done to this pupil for winning the BEAR Scotland competition! She had to name the gritter and came up with the name ‘Mrs McGritter’.

The name will be displayed on one of the new spreaders that will be treating the M80 this winter.

This pupil will receive a special prize very soon  and it may be delivered by the new spreader! How exciting!

Kilbowie Day 3

I have overcome my fear of water. I loved the skiing (Hayley).

I am the same as Hayley and have overcome my fear of water. I enjoyed my dinner tonight (Brandon).

The skiing has been my best activity so far (Beth).

I got to go to Kerrera for the full day. We canoed over, climbed the mountain, built a fire and toasted marshmallows and enjoyed a hot chocolate. I am looking forward to gorge walking tomorrow (Ross).

I have loved the canoeing and I am enjoying playing ping pong (Arun).

The best part for me has been the rock climbing. I climbed all the way to the top (Kaitlyn).

My day on Kerrera was good. The hot chocolate and marshmallows were amazing. We walked round the full island (Aaron D).

After canoeing to the small island we jumped off the rocks. Mrs Allan fell in the water (Lewis S).

I have had a good week so far and looking forward to gorge walking tomorrow (Kyle).

I liked the kayaking and loved jumping off the cliff into the ocean (Jack G).

The children have been brilliant so far. Each and everyone of them are challenging themselves. We are very proud of them all (Mrs Martin, Miss Hendry

Glenmanor Pupils Donate Their Hair To Charity!

MeganThis thoughtful and kind pupil has been growing her hair for over a year so this can be cut and donated to charity on Sunday 15 November.  She has opted to donate her hair to the little princess trust for wig making, while looking to receive sponsor donations for a local charity PALS. All of this was completely her own idea after watching Children in Need last year  and having a close friend helped by this fantastic charity PALS.

She has received over £1,000 in donations through sponsor forms and she also has a Virgin Giving Money page in her own name.

A local radio station  want to interview her and there will be a local newspaper article to publish her journey.

Well done! We are very proud of your achievement!

KatyAnd let’s not forget another of our pupils in our school who also went though the same process for charity! We have very kind pupils at Glenmanor.

P1b Pupil of the Week

Well done to this great boy for winning Glen over the September Weekend. You always set a good example of excellent behaviour and try extremely hard with your work in class. We loved hearing all about your weekend with Glen. He loved his visit to the Zoo and winning those cool sunglasses at the party. Thanks for all your hard work in his journal and sharing your photographs. Well done!
