GHS – Parent Council Pupil Trust Fund
Each year the Parent Council raises funds for Greenfaulds High School in order to purchase resources and equipment for the benefit of all pupils, agreed by the Senior Management Team.
However, the Parent Council is aware that many of our pupils are involved in a great variety of “extra curricular activities” out with the school. We would like to celebrate these successes and hard work and have therefore agreed to “ring fence” £200 each year. If you are involved in a sport, music, drama, charitable organisation or youth organisation and are seeking some funding assistance, all pupils are eligible to apply for this fund.
How to apply – firstly, please acknowledge your interest by emailing the Parent Council at ghsparentcouncil@hotmail.com
You may be invited to attend our November meeting to give a short presentation, where you should consider how your application will benefit you, the school and our community. The Parent Council will then vote on which candidate(s) have been successful to receive a proportion of the fund and you will be advised by mid-December.
The availability of funds for this purpose will be reviewed annually by the GHS Parent Council.
Good luck!

WOSPEG LIVE
Excellent results for our team at their current heat at the WoSPEG Live Wire Physics Competition. After a very close run competition our team of Dylan Anderson, Jamie Buttenshaw and Michael Ward came 1st in their Heat at UWS (Paisley) this week and have now progressed to the Semifinals in Glasgow Caledonian University in approximately 4 weeks time.
The boys were excellent with not just their Physics questions but also on general knowledge. Fingers crossed for the semifinals!

With many practical, recreational and educational clubs due to start soon there is sure to be something that will interest all of our pupils. Pupils should look out for details of new clubs starting in the school.PLEASE SEE THE WEEKLY ACTIVITIES TAB ON THE SIDEBAR OF THE SCHOOL WEBSITE @ http://www.greenfaulds.n-lanark.sch.uk/

Amendments to Constitution
Following advice from CONNECT_scot (formerly SPTC) we are proposing to include a code of conduct for all Parent Council members.
Temporary transport cover for contract 2633J – Carrickstone Road/Balloch Road & 2637K – Blackwood/Smithstone/Craiglinn will be provided by Fairline Coaches for Carrickstone Road/Balloch Road and we have two operators McCreadies Coaches & Lindsay’s of Coatbridge for Blackwood/Smithstone/Craiglinn.
These operators will continue until further notice.
Timetables are shown below.
Can we please ask all parents and carers use the allocated drop off points within the school, this also includes a drop off area which can be accessed from Athlestane Drive.
Thank you for your cooperation as it helps improve access and exit from the school whilst reducing local congestion for residents particularly in the Scott Drive area.
