Primary 7 Open Evening
An Open Evening for pupils currently in P7 (and their families) will be held in Greenfaulds High School at 7.00pm on the evening of Thursday 17th November.
This is an informal event and there is no need to inform the school in advance that you are coming. Pupils and their parents will “follow a timetable” which will allow you to see around the school and meet teachers and pupils. You will find out about the curriculum and about the many other activities on offer to pupils.
Car parking will be available but the school is likely to be very busy on the evening so you are advised to come early.
I look forward to seeing you on the 17th November but please do not hesitate to contact me in advance if you have specific queries or requirements.
Eileen McLoughlin, DHT S1

***Parent Notice: Parking***
As you are aware the entrance to the new Greenfaulds High School is situated off the A73. We appreciate that pedestrian access to the school is limited until the second phase of the sporting facilities are complete and that some parents may be choosing to drop their children off in the vicinity of Scott Drive.
We would encourage and appreciate if parents could use the A73 access as the segregated bus bays and pupil drop off points provide a safe and controlled environment for dropping off and picking up pupils particularly at the start and end of the school day.
We would ask if parents do use Scott Drive and the surrounding vicinity if they could please be considerate of local residents and not block driveways or access points to streets
Thanks you in advance for your cooperation.

The authority’s Parental Engagement Strategy is currently being revised.
As well as reviewing the practice since the introduction of the Parental Involvement Act 2006, the revised strategy will draw on schools’ current and intended relationship with parents.
