‘The Swedish Club members received responses last week from the letters we sent to the pupils at a Swedish school called Futuraskolan International Bergtorp located north of Stockholm and here is Karis Armstrong working on her response that we will send back to them next week.

Amy O’Keefe’s artwork has won a competition to be featured in the Specialist Crafts 2020 catalogue which is a fantastic achievement.

Wednesday 29th January 2020

Greenfaulds High has held a S2 careers day annually since the late 1980s. The recent Developing the Young Workforce Day for S2 was held on Wednesday 29th January. The purpose of the day is to get S2 students to think about their career options and with nearly 30 guests there was plenty of opportunities to learn about the world of work in 2020. For example, Geospatial Consultant at Atkins, Manager for Dior in Scotland and the Merchant Navy. And the more well-known careers in S2, such as, engineering, construction, the police, nursing, social work and teaching. Throughout the day the students had plenty of questions for their guests and DYW Day has certainly made a big impact on them! The day was a massive success because of the support we have, as a school, from many employers and former students.
