GHS have two teams representing competing at the North Lanarkshire Dragon’s Lair business event 2019. This competition requires a lot of hard work, determination and a flair for entrepreneurship and we wish our S3 pupils Paige McCartney, Jack Smyth, Mia Orr, Lucy Cowan and Celina McKay the very best of luck with the submission of their business plans! The Modern Languages Department are really pleased to welcome our new German assistant, Theresa Ebeling. She is 21 years old and comes from Leipzig, Germany. She studies at Uni in Leipzig where she is training to become a teacher of German and English. This year, she will work alongside class teachers and with small groups to help pupils improve German speaking and to educate us all on German culture. She will be with us in Greenfaulds on Mondays- Wednesdays and in Cumbernauld Academy on Thursdays and Fridays. We are really lucky to have her here and the pupils and teachers are excited to be working with her. Wilkommen, Theresa!

Read to Succeed is an initiative of North Lanarkshire Council with the aim of encouraging and promoting reading and creative writing.  Greenfaulds was delighted to welcome author Martin Steward who gave an inspirational talk about his writing to all of S1.

Congratulations to the S3 Achieve group at Greenfaulds High School, who planned, organised and hosted this years MacMillan Coffee Morning.  The group raised a fantastic £440 for the charity with their amazing cake sale, raffle prizes and games!
