For Literacy we have been learning about media. We watched the Impossible movie trailer and were analysing and looking at elements of film. We looked at each one and we had to predict what would happen at the end. We are now writing a summary by creating an alternative DVD cover.

Science
We have been looking at various different forces for our science topic. We carried out an experiment and we’ve used different types of material such as: felt, sand-paper, plastic and carpet. We carried out this experiment because we wanted to know what fabric would carry the (toy) car further in distance. We did 3 different tests. Most peoples hypothesis were wrong because they thought that the car would travel quicker on plastic but it actually didn’t and the car traveled further on sand-paper. The reason why the car didn’t travel further on plastic was because the plastic was so slidy it moved forwards and backwards and also because there wasn’t a lot of friction between the 2 objects.

Class Of 2014- Term 1
Hi and welcome to our blog. We hope you enjoy reading about what we are learning at school this term.
In P.E we have been doing circuits. We have been focusing on stamina and muscle endurance. Some of the stations we have been doing are tricep dips, sit ups, running, burpies and squats. For our first couple of weeks we were doing games and we also learned some new game ideas to use in the future. Our P.E. lessons have been really good so far and I hope they stay that way! 🙂 By Neve
Our topic that Miss O’Neill introduced is Space. We will have so much knowledge in our heads by the time we are finished. We have learned that there are 8 planets in the solar system as pluto is now a dwarf planet. By Josh
We are cooking this term. We are learning about Indian cooking and this week we made a vegetable curry. It was really fun making it but even better tasting it. For other Indian recipes we are going to be using lots of different spices. By Brodie
