Health and Wellbeing

Chryston Primary are using North Lanarkshire’s Healthy resource and Emotionworks to support our teaching and learning in this area. We are currently working on our Physical Education skills based programme.

We are fortunate enough to have good relationships with Chryston High School. Sports’ leaders from CHS are  involved in leading the learning in Primary 7 classes for one term.

Two of our teachers are also trained in Forest schools which is also used to support groups of children with targeted Health and Wellbeing support.

David Kyle is our Active Schools coordinator and Mrs Fleck works alongside David in planning our After Schools’ programme.

In previous  sessions our active clubs included Judo, Rugby, Basketball,  Fundamentals, Badminton, Dancemania, Rugbytots and Cross Country. We are currently working on providing more clubs across the whole school.

More information on current clubs will be coming soon. Please contact Mrs Fleck if you are able to support the school in offering more school clubs. We would love to have some parents involved in this.
